Political ads can have a range of approaches, from angry and disappointed to friendly and uplifting. My political voiceover demo has examples of many of these approaches. My demo also shows how I can bring an authentic element to the spots, and that is critical to making a connection with the people you are trying to reach.
If you want people to vote, and/or take action, the voiceover in your commercial must be relatable to the end user. That way they feel like the commercial is talking directly to them. I can almost always find a way to walk in the shoes of your target audience, and if I can’t, I’ll be honest and tell you (and/or help you find a voice that can). My goal with political voiceover is to create an honest voice, and I have to be true to that at all levels of the process.
